Venkata Padmavathi Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) has established by Venkata Padmavathi Educational Society (VPES) in the year 1998 and has formed with an Aim of rendering Comprehensive Educational Programme to Professional Career and academically oriented Professionals to promote Advanced Medical Education. The Society is proud to establish the First Sector Medical Education at the abode of “LORD SRI VENKATESWARA” widely known as “LORD SRI BALAJI” in the Holy Town of TIRUPATI, is known as the citable of learning with Colleges Higher Educational Institutions for Medical Sciences.

The foundation of the Society revolves in its pivotal to acquire skill and knowledge to promote highest level of education. This has heralded a New Era in the Educational Scenario of the Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Today the Society has carved a niche for itself changing significantly the Educational Landscape in this part of the State. The Society is inspired by the values of freedom of expression with specific concern to the economically weak and socially disadvantaged rural masses. VPES is well known not only for their academic excellence, but also discipline and conductive learning environment. Venkata Padmavathi Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) is one of the major components of VPES, a registered Charitable Society, which aims to empower Professional aspirants through Quality Education and Training.

The main objectives of the Society are to establish institutions as per Government Norms for promoting Education in Medical, Para Medical, Nursing, Arts, Sciences, Technical, Information Technology and Management, etc. In case of SC, ST, BC, EBC and Minorities to abide by the rules and regulations of the Government. Do such all other things as may be required for attainment of objects as specified above and the following procedure shall be followed in respect of admissions. Selection of Candidates as per the rules framed by the Government from time to time by the constituted Selection Committee.

The Institution has Approved permissions by the Govt. of A.P., Affiliated to Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, A.P., Vijayawada. The Institution offers:

1-Under-Graduate courses:-

(1) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) – 4 ½ Years including 6 months of Compulsory Internship.

(2) Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc.MLT) – 3 Years + 1 Year Internship.

2-Post-Graduate course:

(1) Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – 2 Years. in 3 specialties of Orthopaedics, Neurology and Cardiovascular & Pulmonary.

The Colleges have well qualified and dedicated teaching staff in all the Departments. Well equipped laboratories with state of the art equipment and Pentium IV Computers with TFT monitors having LAN facility, High–speed Internet Lab. All the laboratories are equipped fully and uninterrupted power supply. A 24-hr RO treated mineral water supply plant ensures good quality of water in the campus. Seminar hall, spacious Class Rooms. Technical lectures are arranged and reputed Universities along with the experts. Technical quizzes, seminars and communication development programmes are conducted, which go in a long way in helping the students to get placed in dream firms.

The Institution has Clinical Attachment for the Clinical and Practical Training for BPT, MPT and B.Sc.MLT Students at S.V. Medical College, S.V.R.R.G.G. Hospital and Government Maternity Hospital, Tirupati.
